Kendall Shives was the leading scorer for the Rebels finishing with 18 points. Leonard Sandler followed with 14 points.
Tanner Davis led the Bulldogs in scoring with 15 points. Braxton Barton finished with 8 points.
The Rebels opened up with an 8-2 run to take the lead. Calera forward Cody Mullens picked up two quick fouls and had to take a seat early in the first quarter. The Rebels led 12-7 after the first frame.
Davis and Connor Hamilton each scored in the opening minutes of the second quarter to pull the Bulldogs within one. The Rebels answered with a 6-0 run to retake control.
Shives scored in the final minute of the half to give the Rebels a 23-19 lead at the break.
BJ Davis scored early in the third quarter to cap off a 5-0 run and give the Bulldogs their first lead of the game. The Bulldogs outscored Silo 16-11 in the third quarter to take a 35-34 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Rebels went on an 8-0 run in the fourth quarter to retake the lead and swing momentum to their side.
The Rebels held the Bulldogs scoreless in the final three minutes of the game to close the door.
“We just found a way to win today,” said Silo head coach Dax Simpson. “Calera has beaten us twice this year but we kept getting closer each time we played.”
