Bobbie enjoyed people and chose to be a beautician. She owned and operated her own business, Bobbie’s Beauty Shop in Durant, Oklahoma for 30 years. Bobbie was a faithful member of the Fairview Baptist Church the Elks Lodge and the Beautician Association. She enjoyed staying active so she danced and bowled when she could. Bobbie loved to cook for her family and watch the Dallas Cowboys play football. But more than anything, she loved her family.
Mrs. Spindle is survived by her daughters, Pat Parks and husband Vincent of Owasso, Oklahoma and Edye Barnett of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters, Mildred Christman of Denison, Texas and Margie Alexander of Denison, Texas; grandchildren, Matt Thomas and wife Penny of Owasso, Oklahoma, Dustin Earnest of Los Angeles, California, Coleman Cook of Durant, Oklahoma, Catie Simmons of Durant, Oklahoma, Michael Barnett and wife Pipi of Florida, Brandon Thomas of Owasso, Oklahoma, Madeline Thomas of Owasso, Oklahoma and Trey Barnett of Florida; special friends, Don and April Barnett of Durant, Oklahoma, Johnny Henley of Durant, Oklahoma and Dot and Garland Enox of Mead, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Spindle was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bessie Clement; husbands, Billy Spindle, Johnny Barnett and Len Ruyle; son, Johnny Michael Barnett; daughter, Nancy Barnett; brother, Harold Clement and sister, Jean James.
Family Hour will be 7-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Fairview Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. Bill Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow at Georgetown Cemetery in Pottsboro, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Henley, Don Barnett, Roger Duncan, Randy Hood, Kevin Ragsdale, and David Clement.
