A man was stabbed several times during an altercation at a bar Saturday evening, Durant Police said.

Police were dispatched at 8:44 to South Ninth Avenue and West Tennessee Street about a man, later identified as James Manley, who was in the middle of the roadway. According to police, Manley had been stabbed approximately three times at the South Ninth Bar.

The suspect, Samuel Joe Taylor, 38, was still at the bar, and he was arrested after questioning, according to police. Manley was taken to the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma where he was treated and later released.

In other crimes, Glenda Pershica told Officer Andrew Piper on Sunday that someone stole her Lawnman riding lawn from her property in the 400 block of South Sixth Avenue. Anyone with information on the theft is encouraged to call the Durant Crime Tip Line, 924-8845.
