Chris Delon Covington of Calera, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the age of 56 years. 5 months and 12 days. He was born on Friday, October 28, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Billy Chris and Patricia (Wells) Covington.

Chris was owner of Mail Tech LLC. He enjoyed going to yard sales, garage sales and helping others. He enjoyed listing to Elvis. Chris attended the First Baptist Church of Durant and was a fan of Lincoln Cars.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Covington and son-in-law, Sheldon Puga of The Colony, Texas; son, Hayden Covington of Calera, Oklahoma; mother, Pat Williams and husband, Bobby of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, Shawn Covington of Flower Mound, Texas and Kelly Covington of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Ava Puga of The Colony, Texas; mother of his children, Mary Covington of Dallas, Texas; special friend, Patricia Dewbre of Mead, Oklahoma; uncles, Duane Covington of Nida, Oklahoma and Lynn Covington of Ft. Worth, Texas; Four step-sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Mr. Covington was preceded in death by his father, Billy Covington.

Services for Mr. Covington will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 13, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Durant with Bro. James Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Nida, Oklahoma with Hayden Covington, Sheldon Puga, Josh Covington, Shawn Covington, Kelly Covington and Gary Quisenberry serving as pallbearers.

Family hour will be 6 – 7 P.M. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home
