Franky Dee Halbrooks, Jr., 46, of Calera passed away on April 28, 2012 at his home. He was born on September 15, 1965 in Durant, OK to Franky Dee Halbrooks, Sr. and Brenda (Pruitt) Halbrooks. He graduated from Calera schools. Franky married Melissa McLean on January 30, 1988. He was of the Baptist faith, dearly loved his kids, NASCAR, love fishing, boating, motorcycles, four wheeling, and horseback riding.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Halbrooks, Mr. and Mrs. Pruitt, and Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan.

He is survived by wife; Melissa Halbrooks of Calera, sons; Chase Bryant of Durant and Layne Halbrooks of Calera, daughters; Franki Dee and Dally Kay Halbrooks both of Calera, mother; Brenda Pruitt of Colbert, father; Franky Dee Halbrooks, Sr. and wife Carol of Fort Worth, TX, brother; Bradley Goza of Calera, aunts; Phyllis Huskey and husband Jim of Calera and Gaylene Mullins of Calera, cousin; Jennifer Hicks of Calera, numerous other relatives and many friends.

Services will be Thursday May 3, 2012 at 2:00pm in Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Mack Reaves will be officiating with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, OK. Family Hour will be Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 6-8:00pm. Pallbearers will be Terry Henry, Ronnie Golf, Tommy Holder, Dale Houston, Jeff Carter, Charlie Hobbs, Don Hyder, Jr., and R. J. Howerton.
