The Magnolia Festival continues this through Saturday at the Choctaw Event Center, 3702 Choctaw Road, in Durant.
Today, booths, art show and vendors will opened at 10 a.m. and the carnival opened at noon. The art show will close at 6:30 p.m. and the KLBC Texaco Showdown will take place at 9 p.m. and Dustin Perkins will provide entertainment at 9 p.m.
The children’s parade will kick off the last day of the festival on Saturday in downtown Durant at 9:30 a.m. The booths, art show and children’s free events will start at 10 a.m. and a veterans’ reception will be held at RV Park at 10:30 a.m. The carnival will open at 11 a.m., turtle races begin at 12 p.m. and at 3 p.m., children’s free events will end and the local dance will begin. At 6 p.m., the local dance will end and the art show will close at 6:30 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., Spur 503 will provide entertainment.
