Loyd Manners of Calera, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Thursday, February 2, 1942 in Kiersey, Oklahoma to Virgil and Lois (Stowe) Manners.

On June 2, 1962 in Durant, Oklahoma, Loyd married Pamela Cranford. He was a member of the Mead Baptist Church and had served in the United States Navy. Loyd worked for a Metal Fabrication Business as a shop supervisor.

His survivors include wife, Pamela Manners of the Calera home; daughters, Tammy Jensen and husband, Craig of West De Moines, Iowa and Julie Smith and husband, Jimmy of Durant, Oklahoma; son, Brad Manners and wife Amy of Keller, Texas; grandsons, Josh Smith of Durant, Oklahoma, Jordon Smith of Durant, Oklahoma, Joey Smith of Durant, Oklahoma, Cole Jensen of West Des Moines, Iowa and Braden Manners of Keller, Texas; granddaughters, Haley Jensen of West Des Moines, Iowa and Sierra Manners of Keller, Texas; great grandson, Jude Smith of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, Robert Manners, Virgil Manners, Thomas Manners and Neil Manners all of Durant, Oklahoma; sisters, Elizabeth Roach of Lufkin, Texas and Dorothy Brown of Durant, Oklahoma.

Mr. Manners was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lois Manners; brother, David Manners.

Services for Mr. Manners will be Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mead Baptist Church with Bro. Kerry Groce officiating. Burial will follow at the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera with Brad McKnight, Lee Umsted, Cody Nelson, Mickey Wright, Monty Wood and Scott Bryant serving as pallbearers.

Family hour will be from 7-8 P.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
