Several vehicles have been stolen in the county during the past few days, according to the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office.
Steven McKeown told Deputy Jonathan Nunnally that his 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix had been stolen from his mother’s residence in Mead. The vehicle, burnt orange in color was not operable and did not have wheels, according to the report.
A Hay Van trailer was stolen from Sam Everhart in the 4400 block of Wade Road in Bennington, according to a report by Deputy Frank Burrola.
Candace McDaniel told Deputy Tim Harwood that someone stole her 1999 Cadillac that was parked in the 300 block of Oak Hills Road in Cartwright. Deputy Burrola found the Cadillac Tuesday on Allison Road where it had been abandoned after a chase earlier that morning.
A Polaris Ranger owned by Floyd Butler on Catfish Street in Cartwright was stolen. He told Deputy Harwood that he heard the vehicle start at about 1:30 a.m. Monday and when he went outside, he saw a male backing it out of the driveway. The owner tried to follow the Ranger but was not able to find it.
