A picture inside the newly remodeled library shows the future home of the county clerk.
The future meeting room of the Bryan County commissioners is spacious and boasts an adjoining room that Montgomery said will be utilized for executive sessions.
Construction on the former location of the public library has been ongoing for several months, but District 1 Commissioner Monty Montgomery said a move-in date has been set for the second week in July.
“We’re really looking forward to it,” he said.
The inside of the building is almost unrecognizable from its days as a home for books. When the renovation is complete, the building will contain the offices of the county treasurer, tax assessor, county clerk and the county commissioners’ offices.
