Vivian Juanita (Pittman) Harris was born on September 15, 1922 in Quinton, Oklahoma to Robert and Ena Marine (Manning) Harris and passed from this life on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 25 days.

Vivian has lived in Bryan County all her life and she worked as a cook, machine operator but her greatest job was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She attended the First Baptist Church in Bennington the last few years and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, gardening, cooking, baking, taking care of Chester and she dearly loved her family.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; son Guy Pittman and sister Billie Dean Wilson.

Vivian is survived by her daughters Ada Pittman of Bennington and Anita Crawford of Durant; father of her children Chester Pittman of Bennington; grandchildren Nathan Tripp, Julian Pittman, Wade Pittman, Joshua Hamill, Benjamin Bacon, Roger Hamill, Twahna Kemp, Nicole Pittman and Eric Roberts; 16 plus great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Alvie Thornton will officiate. Interment will follow in Bennington Cemetery with Grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Crawford, Jarvis Hamill and Ronnie Harrison. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
