On Tuesday, the members of the Durant Industrial Authority met to discuss the Durant Industrial Authority budget for fiscal year 2012-2013.

DIA Executive Director Tommy Kramer said, “It’s standard routine that each department with the city prepares their own budget.”

The proposed budget for fiscal year 2012-2013 is $ 2,641,910.

The board also considered Pharmcare job creation application for industrial loan. Kramer said Pharmcare plans to create “a little over 50 jobs” in the community.

Member Nate Morrison gave the board an update on Durant Industrial Authority long range strategic planning meeting, industrial park infrastructure and a spec building. He said he had made attempts to contact legal counsel to “go over bylaws and everything.”

Jerry Tomlinson, mayor of Durant, added, “For personnel and job descriptions and things like that.”

The members entered into executive session for purposes of discussing executive director’s annual review.
