Vella Estelle Daniel was born August 3, 1921 in Coleman, OK, to Anderson C. & Eva Lenora (Lena) White Tipton. She opened her eyes in Glory on June 15, 2012, from her home in Folsom surrounded by family.
She married D.D. (Pete) Daniel on October 14, 1939, in Folsom, OK. She was a housewife, mother, Granny, and master cook. She was a member of Folsom Free Will Baptist Church since 1941, where she served with her husband, her children, and many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her gifts of the Holy Spirit were of hospitality and teaching The Word.
She graduated as Valedictorian from Coleman High School in 1939. She was also an honorary member of the Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America.
Granny was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Pete, her parents, two brothers, Ernie Tipton and Donald Tipton, and one sister, Lois Crow. She is survived by Sons: David Daniel and wife Trudy of Coleman; W.C. Daniel and wife Ruth of Coleman; and Phil Daniel and wife Karen of Tishomingo. Daughter: Annette Stanley and husband David of Folsom. Brother: Dwight Tipton and wife Lillian of Lubbock, TX. Sister: Lucille Barnes of Armstrong, OK. Grandsons: Rusty Daniel and wife Stephanie and children Kathy Jo and Jessica; Chad Stanley and wife Pauletta and children Hunter and Cole; Trent Daniel and wife Jody and children Cheyenne and Blair. Granddaughters: Joani Hartin and husband Brent and children Jake and Clay; Sheila Currie and husband Jeremy and children Madison, Derek, and Jaci; Denese Sampson and husband Wayne and children Dustin, Lenzie and Kailee; Cheryl Harrison and husband Russ and children Gavin and Gunnar; Toni McLemore and husband Kyle and children Bradi, Addie, and Luke; Tonya Bucher and husband Quentin and children Shaylin, Zane, Eva and Dovan. Seven nieces and seven nephews, her best friend and pen pal Bonnie Taylor, and her wonderful caregiver and nurse, Missy Morris.
Pallbearers will be grandsons-in-law: Brent Hartin, Wayne Sampson, Jeremy Currie, Russ Harrison, Kyle McLemore, Quentin Bucher. Casket ushers will be grandsons: Rusty Daniel, Chad Stanley, and Trent Daniel. Memorials may be made to Folsom Free Will Baptist building fund or the charity of your choice.
