Sherri M. Thomas of Bokchito, OK passed away June 15, 2012 in Durant at the age of 60. Sherri was born April 22, 1952 in Logan, Iowa to Gerald Rex Purcell and Betty Ann (Whitmore) Purcell. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School and then Grayson County College. Sherri married Henry Thomas on August 29, 1970 in Missouri Valley, Iowa. She has worked as a lab tech for Antlers Hospital for 13 years. Sherri attended the Rock Creek Community Church, she loved her animals, gardening, sewing, and her dog and cat Arby and Max.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Sherri is survived by her husband Henry Thomas of Bokchito, one daughter Sherri Ann Blakley of Mead, one son Robert Henry Thomas of Denison, TX, grandchildren Kiowa Wayne Thomas, Justine Shelby Lane Thomas, Cordelia Racheal Blakley, Elizabeth Madison Blakley, brothers Randy Purcell and wife Christy, Mark Purcell both of Missouri Valley,Iowa and Eric Wright of Sandston, Minnesota, sisters Jeanna Schmidt and husband Delinn and Susan Jensen and husband Randy both of Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel with Ross Phillips officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
