Durant Main Street announced this week’s Music on Market Square (MOMS) will feature the Abundant Life Temple Youth Group. It will begin at 7 p.m. and the public is invited to the outdoor stage at First and Evergreen in Downtown Durant to hear good music in a relaxed atmosphere.
Abundant Life Temple Youth have prepared and competed in the Fine Arts competition at the Conference Level to earn the opportunity to take their entries to the National Level. They will be competing against youth from around the nation in a variety of Vocal and Instrumental categories as well as a variety of Art categories. Two Bible Quiz Teams will also be quizzing at Nationals. The Bible Quiz competition will be held during the same times the Fine Arts competition. The winners of these categories will be awarded scholarship money to two different institutions. A list of those competing consist of, Drake Belvin, Christian Bruce, Madi Bruce, Kenton Clark, Kaden Ford, Katy Gaskill, Collin Howell, Courtlan Howell, Daniel McClain, Maci McCoy, Matthew Slaten, Lexi Stinnett, Tyler Stinnett, Calib Weaver, and Kayla Weaver.
Coinciding these competitions they will be attending Youth Quest. This is a camp that gives youth the opportunity to fellowship with other youth around the nation. During the day, all youth whether competing in Fine Arts or not, will get opportunities to minister and serve others around the city while they are not competing in Fine Arts. Those competing will not only get a chance to take their Fine Arts entries to the city but also everyone gets the chance to partner and serve with ministries in Orlando hands on.
