Thomas Impson, a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away in Bokchito, Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the age of 47 years 6 months and 4 days. He was born to Mike and Joan Ella (Rose) Impson on Wednesday, December 30, 1964 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Thomas lived his whole life in the State of Oklahoma. He graduated from Bokchito High School and then went on to earn a Bachelor Degree in History from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Thomas worked as the Director of The Office of Personnel Management for the State of Oklahoma. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bokchito. Thomas enjoyed watching football, especially the OU Sooners. But most of all Thomas enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Impson is survived by his parents, Mike and Joan Impson of Bokchito, Oklahoma; brother, Chris M. Impson and wife Jhenifer of Bokchito, Oklahoma; nieces, Ashlee M. Impson of Bokchito, Oklahoma and Bailey Impson of Bokchito, Oklahoma; nephew, T.J. Impson of Bokchito, Oklahoma and numerous other family members and friends.
Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 6, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Bokchito with Rev. Preston Burns officiating. Interment will follow at Bokchito Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell Patton, Ken Hickey, John Squires, Greg Spears, Greg Thomas, and Hank Batty.
