Harold Curtis Ferrell Jr., 58, passed from this earth Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Calera, OK surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev,. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Monday Evening, 5:30 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Curtis was born in Heidelberg, Germany on September 28, 1953 to Harold & Eve Jo (Jones) Ferrell. He graduated from Empire High School in 1972 and spent 8 years working for Halliburton Services. He went on to teach auto body at Red River Technology Center for 13 years then relocated to Mead, OK where he worked at Chickasaw Point Golf Course for 15 years. Curtis enjoyed spending hours on Lake Texoma boating and fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Curtis is survived by his wife Maria, who he married on August 8, 1999. His parents Harold C. & Eve Jo Ferrell Sr., daughter Sarah Ferrell Padilla & husband Jon of Arlington, TX. Three grandchildren Taylor, Josh and Emma Padilla. Step-children Dianne Michlinski of Buffalo, NY and Jimmy Taylor & wife Jamie of Marlow, OK. Two step-grandchildren Grace & Nick Taylor as well as several aunts & uncles. He is also survived by his 2 “Constant Companions” Harley & Louie.
Curtis was preceded in death by a brother David Mark Ferrell, grandparents G.W. & Sarah Jones, Julius & Thelma Ferrell and a step-grandson Andrew Michlinski.
Pallbearers will be Danny Jones, Celeb Jones, Ricky Taylor, Mickey Andrews, Shawn Shepherd, Scott Shepherd and Shane Shepherd. Honorary bearers will be the Empire class of 1972.
