Emergency management to test storm sirens

Durant/Bryan County Emergency Management is doing maintenance on its outdoor storm siren system and will be doing periodic testing of the system until Aug. 2.

Periodic testing of the system will not occur before 9 a.m. or after 4 p.m.

Periodic testing will not be done when Severe Weather Watches are in effect.

Periodic testing will not be done should a major countywide emergency incident be occurring.

Periodic testing will not occur should a threat to national security be imminent or an act of terrorism has occurred.

Periodic testing may occur from a few seconds to up to 3 minutes in duration at multiple sites.

Periodic testing of the may be repeated multiple times at specific siren locations.
