Shirley L. Wallace of Durant passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 in Durant at the age of 61. Shirley was born July 15, 1951 in Bokchito, OK to Charlie and Thelma (Beames) Wallace. She married Ricky Wallace in Denison, TX on December 7, 1968. Shirley has worked for Washington Irving and Durant High School in the cafeteria. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Gary Layman, Toppy Layman and David Layman, two sisters Wilma Boudreaux and JoAnn Wallace.

Shirley is survived by her husband Ricky Wallace of Durant, daughter Terri Wade and husband David of Mead, son Bryan Wallace and wife Tammie of Durant, two sisters Charlene Goar of Oklahoma City, OK and Jackie Heinz of Bismark, N.D., brother Kenneth Layman of Durant and seven grandchildren Dakota, Alex, Charlie, Samantha, Bryce, Olivia and Connor.
