Officers also went to the residence in the 700 block of North Fifth Avenue to investigate. According to the affidavit, witnesses said French and Davis and been arguing and that Davis grabbed a knife. Police seized a knife and found blood spots in the home.

Davis was brought to the police station for questioning and according to the affidavit, the interview was terminated after she asked for a lawyer. French’s condition was not known at press time but the affidavit states he was in critical condition on Friday.

In other crimes, police are asking for the public’s help in apprehending a man who sexually harassed an 11-year-old girl earlier this month at Walmart.
