We are so sorry to share with you that Richard Kristofer Grimes succumbed to his final epileptic seizure on August 1, 2012. He was born March 17, 1978 to Richard Owen Grimes and Paula Jo Jackson Grimes both of Durant, OK. His friends knew him as Kris and an accomplished musician. He was a founding member of the band Thin Air Privileged. The band was chosen as the Nite-life Magazine 2004 Rock Band of the Year. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Paula, and his grandparents Kathryn Rochelle Grimes, John Jackson and Francis E. Roberts Jackson all of Durant. He is survived by his grandfather Billy R. Grimes and Uncle Paul Grimes both of Duncan, Aunt Judy Jackson Clift of Bella Vista Arkansas and special cousins Robert Allen of Durant and Randy and Allan Grimes of Duncan and numerous other loving cousins. Services will be held at the church he attended – The Northwest Church of Christ located at 1421 Chuckwa Drive on Saturday, August 12 @ 2:00 p.m.
