The Bennington Bears opened up it’s season at home with double-header sweep over Stringtown.

Game one: Benn 15 -

Stringtown 7

Sophomore Trevor McWilliams (1-0) was the winning pitcher in game one giving up four earned runs over six innings. He gave up five hits and struck-out eight batters. Leading hitters were Trevor McWilliams 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Zach Hardesty 1-for-3 and two runs scored. Ryan Perry 2-for-4 and three RBI’s and one run scored. Tad Holt 2-for-2 with a double and three runs scored. Dillon Clark 1-for-3 with a double.

Game 2: Benn15 - Stringtown 3

Winning pitcher Freshman Dillon Clark (1-0), gave up three earned runs on two hits over three innings and struck-out five batters. Leading hitters were Ryan Lott 2-for-2,three RBI’s, a double and three runs scored. William Minyard 2-for-2, one run and two RBI’s. Trevor McWilliams, Zach Hardesty, Tad Holt, and Ryan Perry were all 1-for-2. Next game today at Wapanucka.
