Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday night at US 69/75 and Choctaw Road, according to a Durant Fire Department report.

Police radio reports indicate a semi-tractor trailer “broadsided” a Dodge truck at the intersection around 11 p.m. Thursday. Durant fire and rescue crews had to extricate one victim from the Dodge truck, and helped load the victim for medical transport.

According to radio reports, one victim was transported via helicopter to an unidentified hospital, but he was conscious and alert and complaining of chest pains and trouble breathing. There was no information on the condition of the other two people involved in the accident.

Three Durant Fire Department units responded to the scene, according to a DFD report.
