DURANT—The Miss Southeast Oklahoma Pageant will hold a contestant informational meeting on Sunday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Bella Rose, located at 324 N 3rd in Durant, OK.

Those interested in competing or learning more about the Miss America system should attend the meeting. Attendees will receive detailed information about the upcoming pageant, to be held on October 6-7 at Montgomery Auditorium on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. Potential contestants will also receive additional help with their paperwork. The deadline to enter the pageant is September 26.

The Miss Southeast Oklahoma Pageant is a closed preliminary competition leading to Miss Oklahoma and Miss America and is only open to young women who reside or attend school South of I-40 and East of I-35. Teens can be 13 years of age, as of pageant date and no older than 17 or a junior in high school. Miss contestants must be 17 and a senior in high school and no older than 24 years of age. Contestants will compete in interview, on-stage question, active wear for teens and swimsuit for miss, talent and evening gown.

The new Miss Southeast Oklahoma and Miss Southeast Oklahoma Outstanding Teen will receive over $16,000 in college scholarships, cash and prizes. The meeting is not mandatory but will offer helpful information in order to help you prepare for the pageant.
