As a result of a major water main break late Friday evening in Durant, the City of Durant had issued a Precautionary boil order for drinking water purposes.
Following the repair of the broken water main, the City of Durant did a water quality test, to insure that there were no contaminants in the water supply. The results of the test indicate that the water is good, and there is no need to continue the boil order.
The City of Durant thanks all citizens for their cooperation during this event.
