SILO — The Silo Rebels defeated the visiting Achille Eagles 8-0 in five innings on Tuesday thanks to a strong pitching performance from Forrest Ludrick. Ludrick pitched a complete game and struck out six Achille batters while only issuing three walks.

Justin Hendricks went 1-for-2 with a single and a sacrifice RBI; Jarris Hamilton finished with an RBI single; Tanner Hearon went 2-for-2 with two singles and a sacrifice RBI; and Kacey Love finished with two RBIs on an infield single.

Three early walks from Achille starting pitcher Tanner Applegate loaded the bases for Silo. A sacrifice fly RBI from Kyle Tate scored Lance House from third base to put the Rebels on the board.
Leonard Sandler and Andrew Bolin scored on an infield single from Love to make it 3-0. Jarris Hamilton helped Love finish the trip home with an RBI single to left field for the fourth Silo run of the inning.
Hearon made a nice play at second base in the top of the second with a diving catch in shallow right field to rob Lane Manry of a hit.
The Rebels scored their fifth run on a sacrifice fly RBI from Hendricks that scored Hearon from third base. Achille right fielder Jason Todd ended the inning with a nice diving catch in foul territory.
The Rebels scored again in the bottom of the third with yet another sacrifice fly RBI. House drove in Hamilton to make it 6-0. The Rebels tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to put the game away.
