Harold Lloyd Griffin Sr. passed on Monday September 10, 2012. He was born on February 28, 1937 in Crawfordsville, Arkansas to LeRoy and Stella Griffin. Harold was a Painting Contractor. He began his career at 17 years old and started his own Company “Griffin Painting” and retired after 43 years of hard work and dedication. He met the love of his life Verna Dean (Griffin) in 1952 and they celebrated 59 years of marriage as she worked by his side.
Harold is proceeding in death by his Parents LeRoy and Stella White Griffin, Brothers LeRoy and Fred Griffin and his Daughter Dianne Griffin Casey.
He is survived by his Wife Verna Dean Griffin of Mead Oklahoma, Sisters Emma Jean Yarbrough and (spouse Frank Lopez) of Ventura, Ca, Sisters Dorthy Kello of Memphis, Tennessee, Sharon Vanerkamp of Seattle, Washington, Daughter Renita Kay Griffin of Fillmore, Ca, Sons Harold Lloyd Griffin Jr. of Wapanucka, Ok, Rodger Griffin of Mead, Ok, Keith Griffin of Mead, Ok, and Daughter Cindy Griffin Stines (Spouse Ernie) of Fillmore. Ca. 9 Grand Children, 22 Great Grand Children and 2 Great, Great Grand Children and numerous family and Friends.
Harold loved to fish and hunt. You could always find him out on the lake fishing and checking his trout lines. He loved his family and friends and he loved all animals and was always rescuing animals and bringing them home. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 15, at 11:00 am at Mead Babtist Church on the corner if Hwy 70 and Church St. in Mead, Oklahoma.
