The Durant Lady Lions will host a softball tournament this Friday and Saturday at the Multi-Sports Complex.
As of Tuesday, 12 teams are participating in pool play starting at noon on Friday, and eight of them are in the top 20 from five different school size levels.
Participants include Durant (No. 11 in 5A), Duncan (No. 6 in 5A), McAlester (No. 8 in 5A), Byng (No. 18 in 4A), Lone Grove (No. 19 in 4A), Valliant (No. 10 in 3A), Colbert (No. 17 in 2A), Rattan (No. 2 in A), as well as Plainview, Northwest Classen, Western Heights and Dickson.
Friday game times are noon, 1:30p.m. and 3 p.m. on four fields at the “MSC” south of Durant. The Lady Lions take on Plainview at noon, then Duncan at 3 p.m. Colbert will have Western Heights at noon and Lone Grove at 3 p.m.
On Saturday, games will be held at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to conclude pool play. Durant has Northwest Classen at 10 a.m. and Valliant at 11:30 a.m. Colbert has drawn Dickson at 10 a.m. and Class A No. 2 Rattan at 11:30 a.m.
Championship games will be held at 2:30 and 4 p.m. on four fields simultaneously.
