Edna Mae Sloan was born on October 7, 1950 in Dumont, Arkansas to Jack Q. and Ann B. Fountain Fogg and passed from this life on September 24, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 61.
Edna graduated from Davis, Oklahoma schools and received her Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She was a licensed minister in the Charismatic faith and also served in the office of the Prophet. Edna was also a licensed horse trainer. Edna married Richard Sloan in 1997 and she moved to Bryan County 14 years ago from Texas. She attended the Cowboy Church in Colbert and she enjoyed country music and she was beginning to learn to play the violin.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Ann Fogg.
Edna is survived by her husband Richard Sloan of the home; sons Ron McCarty of Rowlett, Texas, Jim McCarty of Raleigh, North Carolina and Eddie; sister Bonnie of Pensacola, Florida; step son Rick Sloan of Ardmore, Oklahoma and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 7:30 PM Friday, September 28, 2012 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel.
