The burn ban for Bryan County remains in effect, despite the weekend rain.
Bryan County is one of 33 counties in the state under a burn ban ordered by Gov. Mary Fallin.
Since the weekend rain, the Durant Fire Department has been receiving many calls from citizens asking if it has been removed.
Outdoor burning is not allowed until the governor lifts the order.
Tuesday, firefighters were dispatched at 7:15 p.m. to a residence at North Seventh Avenue and Chuckwa Street about a burn ban violation.
When firefighters arrived, a police officer was on the scene and a man was burning a small brush pile. He put out the fire and firefighters told him about the burn ban.
In other fire calls, firefighters responded at 10:47 a.m. to a salvage yard on Butterfield Trail after someone saw a large amount of black smoke.
When firefighters arrived, they learned that a cutting torch being used on a mobile home caught it on fire.
