Caddo will celebrate its annual Heritage Day on Saturday Oct. 6. The day will kick off with the Buffalo Stampede 5K run and 1- mile fun run/walk.

The Buffalo Stampede, hosted by Shamrock Bank will begin at 8 a.m. Following the Buffalo Stampede will be a parade at 10 a.m.

The parade will begin at Caddo Public School and move down Main Street.

There will be musical performances will be during the entire day-long event. The performances will be held on a bandstand in front of Caddo City Hall.

This year’s theme for the event is “Volunteers make a difference.” Decorations and the parade will coincide with this theme.

Little Miss Caddo and Little Mister Caddo will be crowned at 3 p.m. To win the titles, children sell tickets to win a $100 bill.

The girl and boy who sell most tickets will be name Little Miss and Little Mister Caddo. Tickets will be sold until 1 p.m. Saturday.

Both Little Miss and Mister Caddo will receive a silver belt buckle from Montana Silver that engraved with either “Little Miss Caddo” or “Little Mister Caddo” as well as $50 donated by Shamrock Bank.

Little Miss Caddo will also receive a tiara and Little Mister Caddo will receive a cowboy hat. Both tiara and hat will be provided by Norma’s Jeans and Boots.

All participants will receive a balloon arrangement from Craighead’s and get to keep 10 percent of all ticket sales.

The Little Miss and Mister Caddo competition is how the town raises funds to host the Heritage Day event.

The event will also consist of approximately 25 vender booths selling crafts and products.
