Bobby K. Sliger a resident of Waxachachie, Texas and a former resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life doing what he loved to do, preparing his deer camp for his family, in Moyers, Oklahoma on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the age of 57 years 11 months and 13 days. He was born in Achille, Oklahoma on Friday, October 22, 1954 to James Edmond and Maude Armenty (Freeman) Sliger. Bobby married the love of his life in Durant, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 21, 1973. Bobby was a man who loved being outdoors so he went fishing, hunting and camping whenever he could. He shared this passion with his family and dedicated as much time as he could in the woods with his grandchildren and honorary grandchildren. Bobby was a member of the University Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Sliger is survived by his wife, Jane Sliger of the home; daughters, Alisha Milligan and husband Jeff of Waxahachie, Texas and Debbie Kelley of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Micha and Braxton Marsh of Waxahachie, Texas; step-grandchild, Montie Hester of Macon, Georgia; sisters, Janice Baker and husband Les of Achille, Oklahoma, Sharon May and husband Bill of Kemp, Oklahoma and Christine Armstrong and husband Harold of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Paul Sliger and wife Bernice of Spencer, Oklahoma; honorary grandchildren, Dustin, Hunter and Connor Hicks of Durant, Oklahoma and Loralai, Ariel and Elissa Riley of Durant, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sliger was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maude Sliger; brothers, Edward, James Jr. and Jerry Sliger; sister, Joy Jane McGee; son-in-law, Bill Kelley.
Family Hour will be 7-8:00 P.M. this Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the University Freewill Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Raymond Coats officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, brother-in-law and Kemp friends.
