A special meeting of the Bryan County Commissioners was held Tuesday morning and during the meeting commissioners discussed several county projects.
The commissioners approved a grant application for Rural Water District #2 for a pump station upgrade.
The district had previously applied for the grant and had been denied, however the request has changed from last year’s application.
One of the pumps that the district had wanted an upgrade on last year has been left out of the request this year because it was discovered to be unbeneficial to repair.
The commissioners also re-applied for a grant to aid in several projects in all the county districts. All three commissioners are applying for the same projects as last year’s application with only minor changes.
The commissioners approved a bid asking approximately $15,700 for a patrol car from the Kansas Highway Patrol. This was the only bid received for the car needed by the Sheriff’s office.
The new patrol car will replace one that had been wrecked.
