Meranda Williams a resident of Durant, Oklahoma, and especially a precious child of God left this life too soon on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Soper, Oklahoma, at the young age of 18 years 7 months and 5 days. She was born to David and Patty (Parker) Williams on Thursday, March 3, 1994 in Durant, Oklahoma.

Meranda was a wonderful young woman who left a positive impression on everyone she met. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Meranda’s faith in God gave her comfort and led her to believe that this was just a temporary home and that her true home with with God in Heaven. She graduated from Durant High School in May of 2012. Meranda was a member of the Pride of Durant’s High School Band. She won state for Sports Therapy and had the opportunity to participate in the Nationals for HOSA. Meranda looked up to her older sister, Misty and brother, David who serve our country proudly in the United States Armed Forces, and she had a desire to do the same thing. One of Meranda’s proudest moments was swearing into the United States Navy, although she never got to ship out she will still find a way to be on that ship.

Ms. Williams is survived by her parents, David and Patty Williams of the home; brother, David Williams and wife Kaitlin of Ft. Meade, Maryland; sister, Misty Williams of Durant, Oklahoma; grandparents, June Parker of Durant, Oklahoma and Betty and Ray Burns of Mead, Oklahoma; uncle, Danny Williams of Port Orchard, Washington; special cousin, Robbie Corbett of Springer, Oklahoma; numerous family members, cousins and a host of friends.

Ms. Williams was preceded in death by her grandfathers, John Parker and Bill Williams.

Family Hour will be at 7-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Celebration of her life will be held will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Durant with Rev. James Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery Achille, Oklahoma.

She had to leave so soon. Her time here was fineshe. Theres nothing so sad as to see such a beatiful young lady pass. I know her family an friends would rather her be here, but jesus wanter her theres been so many peoples lives she's impacted. Now she will be an gaurdian angel to all whom she loved. God Bless
