CABOT, Ark. – Southeastern’s two entries into the Bison Fall Classic each fared well in first round play and currently sit tied for second and fifth heading into Tuesday’s final round.
The event is being held at the par-71, 7,051 yard Greystone Country Club in Cabot, Ark.
The Savage Storm’s B team caught fire in the opening round and is currently one stroke out of the lead after a first round 303. Southeastern’s main squad is not far behind with a first round 309 which is good for fifth place.
Carson Daniel is pacing the B team’s performance with a three-over-par 74 which is good for a tie for second among individuals.
One of those players he is tied with is Greydon Blevins who is pacing the Storm A team with a 74 of his own.
Rick Hairgrove is next for the B team with an opening round 75 to sit in sixth place.
He is followed by Joey Schroeder who is tied for 12th after a 77, Jackson Stuteville who is tied for 19th with a 78 and Seth Wheeler who is tied for 27th with an 80.
Behind Blevins on the A team is Robert Perry who carded a 76 on his first play through and is tied for seventh.
He was followed up by Matt McIntosh who is tied for 23rd with a 79, Jay Ray who is tied for 27th with an 80 and Jeff Hunter who is tied for 33rd with an 82.
Southern Nazarene leads the tournament by one stroke over SE’s B team with a first round 303.
The tournament’s final round will be played on Tuesday.
