Republican Mitt Romney easily carried Bryan County in the vote for president, receiving 72.12 percent compared to 27.88 percent for incumbent Democrat President Barack Obama.
Voters cast 9,503 ballots for Romney and 3,673 votes were cast for Obama.
Republican Markwayne Mullin, candidate for U.S. Representative, won Bryan County by 57.71 percent, 7,520 votes. Democrat Rob Wallace received 37.64 percent with 4,905 votes. Independent Michael G. Fulks received 4.65 percent with 606 votes. Mullin was the winner district wide.
Bryan County residents cast the following votes on the six state questions:
State Question 758, ad valorem taxes, approved by 64.42 percent with 8,005 votes in favor
State Question 759, affirmative action, approved by 60.12 percent with 7,389 votes in favor
State Question 762, removing the governor from the parole process, approved by 59.73 percent with 7,332 votes in favor
State Question 764, Oklahoma water bonds, failed by 50.94 percent with 6,168 opposed; it passed statewide
State Question 765, change in the way the Department of Human Services is governed, approved by 54.15 percent with 6,628 votes in favor
State Question 766, exempts personal property from property tax, approved by 61.06 percent with 7,621 in favor
