Billy Joe Littleton, 80, of Calera passed away on November 8, 2012 in Sherman, TX. He was born April 26, 1932 in Thomas, OK to Claude and Edith (Christion) Littleton. He attended school in Thomas. He served in United States Air Force from January 1951 to January 1955 and fought in the Korean War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United National Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He married Phyllis Starbuck on June 26, 1965 and worked as a welder for all of his life. He later moved to Bryan County in 2001 from Tehachapi, CA. He was in the Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with family, grandkids, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mona Calkins.
He is survived by his wife; Phyllis Littleton of the home, son; Roy Littleton and wife Pamela of Lewisville, TX, grandsons; William Thomas Littleton and wife Brandy of United States Air Force stationed in Turkey and Daniel Joseph Littleton of Lewisville, TX, brothers; E.L. Littleton and wife Opal of Chelsea, OK, Fred Littleton of Chelsea, OK, and Foy Littleton and wife Della of Thomas, OK, sister; Claudine Livingood of Oklahoma City, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. David Williams will be officiating with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, OK. Family Hour will be on Monday starting at 1:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Roy Littleton, Daniel Littleton, Mike Echols, Burr Osborn, Phil McCarty, and Darwyn Foulds.
