Two DHS Soccer alumni scores in Tahlequah

Both Bo White and Jordan Smith, Durant High School soccer alumni scored goals for Northeastern State University in their NCAA DII playoff game against Fort Hays State Friday night at Tahlequah. The RiverHawks won 6-3 with White’s goal coming at the 34:51 mark in the first half and Smith’s goal about seven minutes later. It was White’s 14th goal of the year and was described as a rifle shot. Smith’s goal was his second of the year. With this win, NSC, ranked #22 in the nation in DII, will take on #12 ranked Saginaw State in the quarter-finals today at 1 p.m. at DeLoache Field in Tahlequah with the winner of that game advancing to the semi-finals in Evans, Georgia, November 29 - December 1.
