Candidates for the Board of Education in 10 Bryan County school districts file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3

Linda Fahrendorf, Secretary of the Bryan County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5.

The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled February 12, 2013. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the total votes cast in this election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in an election on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

Offices for which Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office include the following:

Rock Creek I-2 School District—Office No.4 and No. 5
