Joanne Barry said she went to the Friends of the Library Christmas sale to buy handmade ornaments for her tree. She ended up winning a quilt as well.

At the end of the Christmas sale a raffle was held for a quilt made by a class in the library. For every $1 donation to the Friends of the Library a person received a ticket to win the quilt.

After buying her ornaments, Barry said she had $6 left over so she bought six tickets. “I hadn’t even been to the library before,” Barry she said.

She had been decorating her tree and said it looked a little boring. A friend had told her about the sale so she went to buy ornaments.

Circulation and Administrative Assistant Angie Mullen said that the quilt brought in $568 alone.
