Edith Maudine Floyd Clelland was born on Sunday, July 8, 1923 in Calera, Oklahoma to John Henry and Bertie Marsh Floyd and passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 89.
Maudine graduated from Durant Public Schools and worked as a telephone operator until her retirement. She married Carmen Clelland on February 23, 1961 in Durant and they spent 47 years together until Carmen’s death on March 24, 2008. She enjoyed playing the piano and making dolls.
Maudine was preceded in death by her husband; parents and brother Johny Floyd.
Maudine is survived by her son Carmen (Skip) Clelland and wife Laura of Clinton, OK; daughter Margo Coverstone and husband Mark of Durant, OK; step children Larry Clelland and wife Carol of Rialto, CA, Vicki Everson-Philgreen and husband Bryant of Lawrence, KS and Trish Isles of Peoria, AZ; grandchildren Natasha, Kwsind, Ehoni and Nokomis Clelland all of Clinton, OK and Chelse Coverstone of Durant; six step grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Dewey Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
