Graveside services for Bettie Gainer, 81, of Greenville, Texas, who passed away at 11:25 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Highland Cemetery in Durant, under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Bud Toles will officiate.

Bettie was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Durant to Bennie Oran and Ruby Sunshine (Rino) Morgan. She married John Wiley Gainer on Nov. 10, 1947, in Honey Grove, Texas. She worked for LTV and was a secretary for Union Security for 17 years.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Ruby Sunshine Morgan, and brothers Olin Ernest Morgan, Joseph Cummins Morgan, Bennie Robert Morgan and Neal Howard Morgan.

She is survived by her son John Gainer and wife Diana, Greenville, Texas; daughter Judy Toles and husband Bud, Greenville, Texas; brothers Billy Boyd Morgan and Jack David Morgan; sisters Margaret Blanche Roberts and Mary Lou Swink; and grandchildren Eileen Gainer, Seattle, Wash., Ethan Gainer, Plano, Texas, and Jess Toles and Jake Toles, both of Greenville, Texas.

Services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
