Durant Police have released the names of several people who were injured in a crash that killed a truck driver.
Kenneth Anders Jr. , 39, Girard, Ill., was killed Thursday morning when his semi truck plowed into a pickup, a car and another tractor-trailer rig, in the southbound lanes of Highway 69/75 north of Choctaw Road, police said.
The pickup driver, Carl Shipman, 73, Cartwright, was taken to the Medical Center of Southeastern and released, but according to police, he was readmitted to MCSO and was in stable condition.
The occupants of a car, a Tulsa couple, Oleta Calvert, 81, and her husband, David Calvert, who was a passenger, were taken to Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, where they were listed in stable condition.
No other injuries were disclosed. The crash happened during heavy fog that morning while other vehicles were stopped for a traffic light at Highway 69/75 and Choctaw Road. Several traffic lights in town were reported to not be working properly due to the fog and as result, traffic was backed up at some locations.
