Southeastern’s Jacee Bennett has been named the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week after her performance helped the Savage Storm to a 5-1 weekend record.
Bennett posted a 3-1 record over the weekend in four appearances with three starts. Her lone loss came at the hands of No. 4 Angelo State.
She finished the weekend with a 2.55 ERA in 22.0 innings pitched with 31 strikeouts across from only six walks.
She tossed one complete game and held opponents to a .235 batting average.
The weekend pushed her season record to 5-1 with a 2.22 ERA to go with 45 strikeouts across from 15 walks while holding foes to a .196 batting average.
SE will be back in action Feb. 15-17 when it travels to Tucson, Ariz.,
