Bryan County Commissioners have set dates with Sheriff Ken Golden to allow Bryan County residents to tour the new county jail facility and renovated sheriff’s office.
Viewings will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday of the first three weeks in March, March 5 & 6, 12 & 13 and 19 &20. Groups of 15 to 20 people will be taken through the facilities at one time.
Viewings will begin in the sheriff’s office at 10 a.m. on these days. Golden said he encourages groups such as Kiwanis, and the Chamber of Commerce to participate in the viewings to see what tax dollars are being spent on.
He said he also encourages input form those who participate. He said if anybody sees what they think may be a liability he would like to know. “The more eyes the better,” said Golden.
