Joyce Laverne (Tims) Wofford a resident of Colbert, Oklahoma passed away in Denison, Texas on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the age of 76 years 5 months and 28 days. She was born in Camden, Arkansas to Homer and Bessie (Rowland) Jones on Friday, September 11, 1936. Joyce was married to her first husband, Clarence “Tiny” Tims, for 31 years until he preceded her in death. She went on to find happiness again with her current husband, Dwight Wofford. They married in Texarkana, Texas on November 22, 1997.

Joyce was a person who loved being outside, going to the lake, and building bon fires. She also enjoyed playing darts.

Mrs. Wofford is survived by her husband, Dwight Wofford of the home; daughter, Judy Whatley and husband James of Marshall, Texas; son, Mike Tims and wife Pat of Marshall, Texas; step-daughter, Jamie Wofford of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-son, Joe Don Wofford of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Randall Jeans and wife Kim of Marshall, Texas, Bud Tims and wife Terri of Marshall, Texas and Mindy Tims of Marshall, Texas; step-grandchildren, Brent Whatley and wife Tara of Longview, Texas and Kody Choate of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers, Billy Jones and wife Freida of Camp Verde, Arizona and Bobby Jones of Ruston, Louisiana; sisters, Debra Nielsen and husband Mike of Marshall, Texas and Mary Ann Bates and husband Jerry of Camden, Arkansas; step-sister, Kaletha McCaskle of Ruston, Louisiana; step-brother, Clayton McCaskle of Ruston, Louisiana; six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wofford was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Jones and Bessie Easterland; first husband, Clarence “Tiny” Tims.

Family Hour will be from 3-4:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Funeral Service in her honor will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 11, 2013 at The Lighthouse in Colbert, Oklahoma with Pastor Joe Beshires officiating. Interment will be the following day on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, Texas. There will be a second family hour for family and friends at graveside from 10-11:00 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be Randall Jeans, Brent Whatley, Hunter Jeans, Pete Hand, Michael Pinion and James Dodson.
