Colbert, Ok. - The Colbert Leopards notched another win this spring break with a 10-0 run-rule victory over Haworth on Tuesday to improve it’s record to 10-1 on the season.

Kason Krob took the mound for Colbert and got the win. Krob pitched 5 innings, 6 strikeouts, 2 walks on 57 pitches and no runs allowed.

The Leopards got on the scoreboard in the first inning after Cade Carter hammered a RBI double to the center field wall to give the Leopards a 1-0 led.

After an scorless inning by Haworth, Colbert began to roll.

Colbert added two more runs in the bottom of the second inning and led 3-0. With Cater and Krob on base, Dylan Jones dug into the batters box and smoked a 2 RBI single into the outfield to expand Colbert’s led.

Colbert’s defense held the Haworth batters at bay for another scoreless inning.

In the third inning, Colbert batters stayed steady as they put up two more runs.

Bradley Nichols got on base with a double, then Trevor Cole knocked in him for a RBI. Preston Rice and Cole were at the corners when Krob helped his own cause with a 2 RBI double to give the Leopards a 6-0.

The Leopards put the game away with a 4 run fifth inning. James Hair would get a sac-fly, then with bases loaded, Payton Whitehead would drive in the winning runs.

Colbert Stats: K. Krob 2 RBIs, double; B. Nichols 2 for, double; Jones and Cole both had singles.

Colbert is back in action next Monday when they play Tupelo at 4:30.
