So many large trees snapped like toothpicks. Men from the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Association cleared many of them and stacked the debris on the curb to be picked up at no charge to the homeowner.
The athletes from the Athletic Department of Southeastern University voluntarily went to work and did a wonderful job clearing trees and debris, also at no charge.
A young man, Hank Eversole, with a family just starting a business of his own, worked the electric problems also at no charge.
The city workers are working hard, and it will take some time to pick up and clear all the debris.
I just personally want to acknowledge these heroes for their good deeds.
