Durant Main Street announced this week’s Music on Market Square will feature three ladies with terrific voices.

Tarah Scott, Jaelin Barfield and Carissa Mason will share their talents, and the abundance is obvious once you hear them. The evening will begin at 7 p.m.

The public is invited to the outdoor stage at First and Evergreen in Downtown Durant to hear music in a relaxed atmosphere.

The lineup for the remainder of the season has also been set. Mark Shelton will be on hand on July 30. Aug. 6 will feature Tarah Scott and the praise band. On Aug. 13, the youngsters will be back to school and can enjoy Edge of the End. Grandpa’s Neighbors will be on hand Aug. 20. August 27 will feature Larry Whaley who will return Sept. 10 and 17. Morris McCann is proud to be back on Market Square for Sept. 3. Of course, Country Explosion will end the season Sept. 24.

“The Square has a new look, and we are grateful to the City of Durant for putting a cover on the stage,” said Donna Dow, Durant Main Street program manager. “City Manager Jim Dunegan is a regular at Music on Market Square and has seen the performers withstand the heat. It is always nice to be able to take care of our musicians, and we appreciate the investment the city makes in our downtown.”

For more information, contact Durant Main Street at 924-1550. The concerts are free, and attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
