EDMOND — Larry Dyson Motors Durant American Legion managed a one-hit shutout — in the one inning that was almost completed at the opening round on the State Tournament. More rain meant the last two games have yet to be finished.

Durant was leading Rogers County, 2-0, with two outs in the bottom of the first inning when the game was suspended.

“We haven’t heard anything yet, we’re just waiting around like everybody else,” said Durant coach Jared Howard. “They’re wanting to finish our two games and also all of today’s schedule ... get all of them in today.”

After Rogers County failed to score in the top of the first, LDM’s Keach Ballard and Logan Oller hit back-to-back singles to spark Durant’s offense. Both players scored on passed balls before the game was called.
