Dessa Dee Ogle was born Monday, Aug. 21, 1916, in Vamossa, Okla., to Floydy Goodner and Ivah Ruth (Schornick) Morrow. She passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, in Durant, at the age of 93 years and 29 days.
Dessa married Carlos Ogle on July 30, 1937, in Atoka. She was a member of the Coleman Church of Christ. Dessa loved her family and spent her time doing for them. She also loved working in her flower beds, crocheting, sewing and cooking. Her life was with her husband by his side in the fields on the farm until his death. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her family was dearly blessed with her long and loving life.
She is survived by her sons Marion Ogle and wife Shirley of Caddo, Jerry Ogle and wife Velvree of Durant, and Charles Ogle and wife Barbara of Coleman; daughter Linda Joy Jemison and husband Tommy of Wapanucka; daughter-in-law Deana Ogle, Durant; sisters Alta Ruth Sebastian of Borger, Texas, Lois Cochran of Ardmore, and Thelma Reeves and husband LeeRoy of Arlington, Texas; brother F.G. Morrow and wife Gaylene of Coleman; special niece Thelia Prentice and husband Rickey of Coleman; special nephew Lynn Ogle and wife Caroline of New Boston, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ogle was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Goodner and Ivah Myrtle Morrow; husband Carlos Ogle; son Larry Ogle; brother Jimmy Frank Morrow; and sisters Lydia Hudson, Lola Ogle, Faye Hanna and Flossie Potter.
